Answer the question.

Locking my topics without answering my questions doesn't fly.

Are the Forum Rules suspended when posters decide to attack me and my topics, in order to get them locked?

Locking my topics because people are spamming them with personal attacks doesn't protect me from abuse. It encourages it.

there's really no need for all of this

Re: Answer the question.

mo'ron and Farmerkev came into a topic and lied about my fictional involvement in another forum. The topic, which posters put a lot of effort into, was locked with no reason given.

And leaving them open to turn into a 20-page XYZ vs everyone flamewar doesn't encourage it...?

Might doesn't make right. Locking these topics doesn't address what I've said. It doesn't answer my question.

Re: Answer the question.

The thread in MiniThink on "gay invisibility" was locked by me.

There were numerous violations of The Rules by multiple people.   I figured it was obvious of the many degenerations.

When threads are locked, it's a visible warning to those who are in that forum, whether they be visitors or posters of that thread.   The guideline on good topics in locked threads is ::::  everyone cool down and someone start a new civil thread.   There's been plenty of good threads locked.  We can't keep them all open.
