I've got a wireless mouse already (not BT) and I won't give it up just because it's got two buttons and a scroll wheel. While I'd love to have a BT keyboard, I can't justify a wireless keyboard when it sits in the same spot all day. I'd go through batteries for no reason...

Maybe if the keyboard was the old style black Pro one I'd consider, but that new eMac white job is ghastly. And, I agree, it's not like the keyboard goes anywhere. If only they had created a revolutionary new mouse with multiple buttons (hell, even just two!), a scrolling device (not necassarily a wheel, they're so 2002) and a gorgeous design I'd be all over it. As it is though these are "meh" worthy at best.

The only problem with the wireless keyboard is you lose the 2 USB connectors. Have fun reaching aorund your Mac to plug and play!!

The only problem with Apple wirelss keyboard/mouse is it doesn't come with the bt adapter that 90 percent of current Apple computer don't have!

MS might be suck to a lot of you, but at least it come with the bt adap with their bt setup

there is one thing i know. if i wanted an external keyboard an mouse for my laptop with built in bluetooth, i'd be heaven sent. just imagine someone's desk when they bring their laptop back and hook it up. mouse & keyboard already working, and no cables to hassle with at all. i might even buy the mouse for my laptop anyways just because there's no dongle.

yeah, wireless bt mouse will be cool with your pbook 12in with build in bt, I am not so sure keyboard will be useful on a 12in laptop since it might place the laptop screen too far away to be comfortable viewing!

the keyboard i dont think is as useful, but there are alot of laptop stands that either raise the laptop to ideal viewing position or hold it vertically to the idea viewing position. either way, a keyboard would then be relevent. personally, i dont see why anyone would not get bt or the modem on their comp. it just seems kinda silly

the mouse and keyboard seem kinda pricey when compared to the logitech cordless mx duo. granted, the apple mouse/keyboard is more appealing to the eye. :-)

I can't believe that we waited all this time and got a crappy one button mouse without a scroll wheel. Apple at least needs to offer the option. There is no way I would purchase a second mouse (wireless or not) if it didn't have the second button and scroll wheel.

I am very upset that they have the nerve to slap the "Pro" label on it just because it is wireless. "Pro" would indicate to me someone who is well versed in the use of their computer and I would think that someone could handle more than one button.

if it doesn't i bet no one will ever end up with them.

every other wireless mouse/keyboard on the market is superior.

now, i'm itching for a bt mouse but the only mouse design i think would be adequate is the logitech mx 310 but logitech doesnt make any bt mice yet. grrr... apple's mouse would be my next pick but only one button...

Nice response. It really lets everyone know where you stand. Perhaps you should step back into reality.

Take a look at Apple's other "Pro" products, the G5 and the PowerBook. They are outfitted with great features that set them apart from the iMac/iBook. I'm sorry, but taking the same mouse and simply making it wireless does not make it "Pro" in my opinion.

If you have an opinion let us know. Or maybe "Oh, please..." was all that your intellect could muster???

Why do people want more than one button? We already have a million buttons on the keyboard. Using the keyboard for extending/modifying mouse functions is much quicker than right clicking and much more funerer.
